Wingate's Ciaccia Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Camilla Ciaccia has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week 11 of the 2022 season, the Conference announced today.

Ciaccia, a senior from Desenzano Del Garda, Italy, led the No. 11 Bulldogs to a pair of SAC victories and a share of the 2022 SAC Women's Tennis Regular Season Title. She was victorious at No. 1 singles and doubles, defeating her opponent from Limestone 6-2, 6-1 in singles and 6-0 in doubles. Ciaccia then picked up a 6-0, 6-1 singles win against Catawba and a 6-2 doubles win.

This is Ciaccia's first Player of the Week selection this season.
