SAC Women’s Track & Field Athletes Qualify for NCAA Division II Indoor Championships
ROCK HILL, S.C. — The South Atlantic Conference will be represented on the national stage as nine student-athletes from three member institutions have qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for March 13–14 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
SAC qualifiers will compete across a wide range of events including sprints, hurdles, distance races, jumps and throws.
Wingate leads the conference with four qualifiers competing in multiple events. Freshman Abigail Bester qualified in both the 3000-meter run and 5000-meter run, while junior Evie Brooks will compete in the mile and 3000-meter run. Junior Ally Holmberg qualified in the indoor pentathlon and long jump, and senior Amber Lawless will represent the Bulldogs in the shot put.
Tusculum will send four athletes to the national meet. Sophomore Qitarah Castlin qualified in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash, while senior Shanice Cox will compete in the 200-meter dash. Senior Jahzara Hart earned spots in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash, and sophomore Kori Moore qualified in the 60-meter hurdles.
Lenoir-Rhyne will also be represented at the national championships with junior Mackenzie Pringle, who qualified in the triple jump.
The NCAA Division II Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships begin Friday, March 13, and conclude Saturday, March 14 as the nation's top athletes compete for national titles.
