The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets recently held. Anderson's Emma Deadwyler earns the track accolade while, Newberry's Emma Johnson earns the field honor.

A freshman runner, Deadwyler, competed in the Susan Rouse Invitational this past weekend where she placed first in the 100m dash with a time of 12.62 seconds and fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 25.76. This is Deadwyler's first Track Athlete of the Week honor this season. 

A sophomore sprinter Johnson, competed in the Susan Rouse Invitational this past weekend where she placed tenth in the javelin, moving into the second all-time in school history. This is Johnson's first Field Athlete of the Week honor this season.
