Wingate’s Stumpff Tabbed Academic All-American; Also Named AVCA Honorable Mention All-American

Austin, Texas----Wingate University senior right-side hitter Shelly Stumpff (Iowa City, Iowa) has been named a third team Academic All-America honoree by CoSIDA. The AVCA honorable mention All-American earns Academic All-America recognition for the first time in her career. Stumpff is the only player from the SAC or the NCAA Southeast Region to earn Academic All-America accolades this year. FULL RELEASE 

Lexington, Ky.----Wingate University senior right-side hitter Shelly Stumpff (Iowa City, Iowa) has been named an honorable mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). Stumpff earns All-American accolades for the first time in her career. She is the only SAC player to earn AVCA All-American honors this year and one of only two players from the Southeast Region, joining USC Aiken's Ashley Diedrich. FULL RELEASE
