Five SAC Student-Athletes Earn Capital One Academic All-District At-Large Selections
Five SAC student-athletes have earned selections to the Capital One Academic All-District At-Large Team, which spans the league-sponsored sports of tennis, golf and lacrosse.
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Five SAC student-athletes have earned selections to the Capital One Academic All-District At-Large Team, which spans the league-sponsored sports of tennis, golf and lacrosse.
The Capital One Academic All-District and All-America program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative 3.30 GPA, have reached sophomore academic and athletic standing, and be nominated by a sports information director.
The Capital One Academic All-America At-Large Team will be selected later this month.
Those earning All-District accolades from the SAC are:
Ryan Sage, Mars Hill men's lacrosse
Lukas Winkelmann, Tusculum men's tennis
Calley Lawson, Tusculum women's golf
Olivia Myers, Catawba women's tennis
Farina Rafiq, Queens women's tennis
