The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Dec. 12

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson guard Christian Jeffords has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 5-11, the League announced today.

Jeffords, a freshman from Summerville, S.C., came off the bench and put up 37 points to lead the Trojans to a 104-93 win over Newberry on Dec. 10.  He connected on 9-of-10 from long range to finish with a 90 percent clip from downtown.  He totaled 12-of-13 from the floor to go along with four at the line. Jeffords also added one rebound and came away with a steal in the win.  His scoring output was the most from a Trojan since the 2014 season as his nine triples currently ranks No. 10 on the South Atlantic Conference single-game list.  The award is his first Player of the Week plaudit this season.
