The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week, Oct. 19

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Tusculum forward Andreas Kvam has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for games played Oct. 12-18, the League announced today.

Kvam, a sophomore from Valderoey, Norway, scored three goals and tallied two assists as he led the Pioneers to a pair of road victories against SAC opponents last week. In overtime against Lenoir-Rhyne on Oct. 14, the forward put away the match-winning goal at the 98th minute to lift Tusculum to a 2-1 win. Two days later, Kvam found the back of the net twice against Mars Hill, propelling the Pioneers to a 5-1 victory after being down 1-0 at the half. Kvam also recorded two assists in the contest. He leads Tusculum in scoring with five goals and 12 points. The award is his first Player of the Week plaudit this season.
