The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, Sept. 26
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –Wingate midfielder Callum Ross has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for games played Sep. 19 – Sept. 25, the League announced today.
Ross, a junior from Newcastle, England, helped lead his team to wins against Queens University and Newberry College last week. He scored the game-winning goal in the 33rd minute to lift Wingate to a 2-1 win over Queens in a rematch of the SAC title match last year. He also scored an unassisted goal in the 15th minute in the win over Newberry on September 24th. Ross leads undefeated and ninth ranked Wingate with four goals on the year. The award is his first Player of the Week plaudit on the season.
