The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Jan. 30
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial forward Chris Perry has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 23-29, the League announced today.
Perry, a senior from Bartow, Fla., averaged 28.0 points per game, shot 76 percent from the floor and hauled in a total of 16 rebounds in a pair of South Atlantic Conference wins last week. He got his week started with 28 points on 63 percent shooting in a 108-76 win over Carson-Newman on Jan. 25. He added five rebounds in the win to along with two assists, two steals and a pair of blocks. Three days later at Lenoir-Rhyne, Perry stayed hot as he connected on 92 percent from the floor to finish with 28 points as the Railsplitters downed the Bears, 97-75. He also ripped down 11 rebounds, dished out two assists and posted one block in the win. Perry is ranked No. 4 nationally in field goal percentage and is ranked No. 2 in the South Atlantic Conference in scoring. The honor is his second Player of the Week plaudit this season.
